Tour description
Caserta is famously known as The Versailles of Naples for its Royal Palace built by Charles of Bourbon in the eighteenth century. The palace is considered one of the most sumptuous in Italy with its 1,200 rooms, rich in furnishings, frescoes, tapestries and history. The beautiful gardens surround the great 75-meter waterfall, which is visible from the building 3 km away.
After visiting the splendid palace with its gardens, we will climb about 400 meters to the slopes of the Tifatini Mountains. There we will visit together the medieval village of Caserta vecchia, an interesting destination with its Cathedral dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and the splendid panorama over the whole plain.
